Verizon picks LTE vendors in climate of rising caution

Verizon has played fairly safe in its LTE choices, with disappointments for Nortel, Motorola, NSN and Huawei (Huawei would always have been a problematic choice for the US authorities for such a strategic network, though Verizon will see some of its innovations via the Vodafone/China Mobile joint activities). It has also selected Starent for the packet core and NSN for the IMS.
