The GSM Association says global HSPA connections will pass the 150m mark by the end of September, with more than 300 networks across 127 countries and almost 1,500 devices available. This makes HSPA the most rapidly adopted mobile technology of all time, says the GSMA, quoting data from Wireless Intelligence, which says Asia-Pacific and EMEA have almost 50m HSPA connections apiece, and will reach 56m and 60m respectively by the end of Q3. The US has 32m connections, and this should reach 37m in the same time, but the rest of the Americas will have only 4m.
