Qualcomm aims to take advantage of wireless chip consolidation
Company offers strong Q2 forecast, but denies interest in making a play for ARM.

CFO Bill Keitel added: "We're very pleased with progress to date and trends for the quarter." He expects Q2 sales to be between $2.4bn and $2.6bn.
Jacobs also told the meeting that an e-reader using Qualcomm's innovative Mirasol display technology, which draws on ambient light for an ultra-low power experience, would appear in time for this year's holiday season. And he commented on Apple's patent lawsuit against close Qualcomm ally HTC, a key customer for the Snapdragon processor and other products. He said HTC was an "interesting company for Apple to target", noting that the firm spans the Windows Mobile and Android markets.
