It is being reported by several sources around the internet that the BlackBerry 9300 will be arriving at T-Mobile US September 8. The phone, whose full name is BlackBerry 9300 Curve 3G, will support 3G through HSPA. While it's no Torch the Curve isn't expected to be cheap and will feature OS 6.0 plus all the usual social networking and multimedia features.
The Curve is in the classic BlackBerry candybar form factor with a full QWERTY keyboard at the bottom and a 2.4" TFT screen with a resolution of 320x240 at the top. Inside it is powered by a 634MHz processor and 256MB or RAM and comes with an uninspiring 2mp camera but it can take video. The handset also comes with GPS and the ability to synch music from your iTunes collection.
While not able to take full advantage of the new BlackBerry OS which is designed primarily for touchscreen phones such as the more exciting Torch it will benefit from improved features such as a redesigned homescreen and an improved search function.
Pictures leaked earlier this month of the handset appear to have been accurate and more leaked information came from the Canadian carrier Rogers when it was revealed that they would be selling the phone. Now it is officially up on their site with a price tag of $49.99 (canadian) with a three-year contract. To get the phone unlocked at Rogers it will customers back a hefty $399.99.

While this phone isn't anything special it should please business users who want to upgrade their current handset, though the Torch is far more appealing. There's no word yet on how much it will cost when it hits the US and currently T-Mobile is the only carrier confirmed to have this phone though it is expected to arrive at AT&T soon.
