The blogosphere has spotted an updated version of Verizon's advert for the Samsung Fascinate which seems to confirm the handset will be available from the carrier this Thursday, September 9. The advert which previously bore the text "coming soon" now features the release date. No press release has been issued or announcement made but there doesn't seem to be any reason to doubt it.

The advert focuses on the Samsung Fascinate's ability to deliver a cinematic experience in the palm of a users hand. Featuring a man on a motorcycle being chased by a car. The camera then zooms out to reveal the action taking place in someone's palm only for it to be replaced by the handset. Little is revealed about the handset itself but it makes sure to specifically mention the Super AMOLED screen.

Apart from the 4" Super AMOLED screen, the Samsung Fascinate will feature a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor and a 5mp camera that can take HD video. The Verizon Fascinate will only ship with 2GB of memory however, as opposed to the 16GB available with its Galaxy S brothers on other carriers. This might be disappointingly low but it can be expanded up to 32GB with a Micro SD card. It will ship with Android 2.1 and of course feature all the usual social networking functions and access to the Android Market.

The pricing for the device has also leaked out and it is known that it will cost $199 with a new contract from Verizon. With two days left until its release there's still time for an official announcement as it is unusual for the carrier to publish a release date without announcing it first. They will be the last of the big carriers to offer a Galaxy S device, strengthening the series of Smartphones' position as they will now be available from all four major carriers in the US.
