No matter how useful a smartphone is there's no denying that in most battery life leaves a lot to be desired. A new handset from Huawei looks set to remedy this situation however as it claims that its 'Honor' will offer up to three days of life before the battery dies. These three days of time without having to worry about your phone dying in the middle of a call come thanks to a 1900mAh battery.
Aside from the battery though, which would be a good reason to get the phone even with some average specs, the Honor will offer up a 4" display beneath which is a 1.4GHz processor making for a speedy handset. On the rear there's an 8mp camera which will find itself accompanied by a 2mp webcam for video calling. Other key specs include 3G connectivity, 4GB of ROM and 512MB of RAM.
The phone is set to ship with Android 2.3.5 installed overlaid with the Chinese phone maker's own custom interface. It all sounds quite impressive but the extra battery capacity has an effect on its waistline making it a bit chunkier than the Galaxy SII at 10.9mm.
Huawei is releasing the phone in China, Russia and the Middle East starting in Q4 this year with the UK set to get it next year. While the company has been better known for making devices for carriers to plaster with their own branding a handset like this could really help Huawei to make more of a name for itself. Details on pricing are set to be revealed at a later date.

One thing's for sure and that's the phone looks a good deal more impressive than the recently announced budget 'Blaze' from Huawei, which offers a 3.2" screen and a price tag of around £100 ($160) with hardware to match.
