As rumoured T-Mobile has made the latest addition to its 4G lineup official at CES this week announcing the Galaxy S Blaze 4G handset from Samsung. Although a complete list of specs has yet to be revealed the handset doesn't look like it's going to be that different from the Galaxy SII which was launched with the carrier back in October. The Blaze also has the honour of being the third handset to utilise T-Mobile's HSPA+ 42 speeds.
It's known that the Blaze 4G will come with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and a Super AMOLED display but anything more than that is a mystery. Which version of Android it's going to run is another unknown but an Ice Cream Sandwich install seems like a good bet when it eventually arrives. There's no doubt this will be a high-end affair but if it has anything extra special to recommend itself T-Mobile is keeping it a secret and promises to reveal more closer to its release.
It's expected to be released "later this year" and though it might not have a release date attached to it yet anyone interested can sign up for updates on the device's product page.

For any Windows Phone fans who have more immediate smartphone needs it was also announced that the Lumia 710 is now on sale for the reasonable price of $49.99 on a two-year contract, after a $50 mail-in rebate card.
Key specs of the Lumia 710 include a 1.4GHz single-core processor, 8GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM. As well as this there's a 3.7" display and a 5mp rear-facing camera but no front-facing one for video-calling.
It might not be the Lumia 900 but it's solid if unspectacular specs and competitive price tag make it an attractive alternative.
