The HTC Ville first leaked back in November and now it has been spotted again posing for blurry shots confirming a design which was previously seen in renders posted on the web. The images come courtesy of Japanese mobile blog ameblo.jp and suggest that the handset is getting ready for an official unveiling at the MWC. It missed out on a CES reveal and so far HTC has been keeping a tight lid on the confirmed specs of the phone.

However the new images come with some specs which tally with what's been seen before. These include a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 4.3" display. Beats Audio integration is also expected as is a 1650mAh battery and it's competitive in the skinny stakes at 8mm. In addition to this Ice Cream Sandwich should ship with the phone as should the latest version of HTC's Sense UI.

Coming after this week's fourth quarter earnings report from HTC the leaked images are well timed. In the earnings call which accompanied the report HTC's chief financial officer admitted that last year's crop of LTE handsets were too thick and offered poor battery life. There's no word on how long the Ville will last before it needs recharging but it does seems to improve things on the thickness front.

While the MWC seems like the most likely event for the Ville to launch at there are already rumours flying around that when it reaches the US T-Mobile is going to be carrying it. If T-Mobile does offer it eventually then there's a good chance it will be selling the HTC Edge as well. While the Ville is set to be the handset-maker's star mid-range device in 2012 the Edge going to sit firmly at the higher end of the scale with its quad-core processor and a 4.7" display.
