Targeting fashion fans in the UK the new Motoluxe handset is due to be released there by the end of the month according to the company's latest announcement. For a handset that offers some fairly average specs for the most part the main selling point will be its good looks. However apart from a glowing lanyard slot there's nothing especially striking about it. On the plus side it does promise to be an affordable device and will offer a reasonably big screen and a high resolution camera.
While the CPU won't be turning any heads at 800MHz the screen measures 4" and there's an 8MP camera on the rear. Other key features include 512MB of RAM, a front-facing VGA camera and a microSD card slot to expand the undefined amount of storage. Unsurprisingly it comes with Android 2.3 installed but it does incorporate the Motoswitch UI. Motoswitch monitors smartphone usage and information about which apps are most used and who is most frequently contacted then makes sure this info is at the front of the user experience.
Aside from the underpowered processor and a probably low amount of internal storage the phone does have a few things to recommend it, and not just to the fashion conscious.
Motorola didn't name an exact release date, other than that it will be available "late-february" and is being shy about how much it's going to cost as well, although one UK retailer is already listing the price with a SIM-free price of £258 ($418).

As well as the UK Germany is also set to be getting the device in March along with the Motoluxe's launch partner, the Defy Mini. While the smaller device is also due to be launched in the UK a release date hasn't been set but it has been seen for pre-order on the same website as its bigger brother.
