Hot on the heels of several intriguing leaks this week LG's press invites for a special event at the MWC have been issued and one duly leaked online. The invite is light on the precise details but indicates that LG has some "revolutionary smartphones" in store for 2012. The last few weeks have seen several handsets emerge which could well be shown off at the show but few which could take the revolutionary crown.

First and foremost among those handsets likely to be the company's next flagship device is the LG X3. Rumoured specs for the device include a quad-core processor, 16GB of internal storage and a 4.7" display. Cameras are said to come in the form of an 8mp one on the back and a 1.3mp on the front plus it seems like a likely candidate to ship with Android 4.0 installed.

Lower down the line in terms of its specs but still promising as a new Windows Phone device is the LG Miracle. The Miracle is expected to be packing a 4" Nova display, 1GHz processor and 8GB of internal storage. In addition to this it should find itself with an 8mp snapper on the back as well as a front-facing VGA camera.

The most recent handset to emerge is the LG Optimus Vu. It's the only one that's official, at least in a Korean teaser video, and could well stand out if it makes it to the MWC if only for its huge 5" display. It's clear that LG has taken a leaf out of Samsung's notebook with the design and the rumours have it that it's going to have a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

In terms of the Revolution LG has planned it looks like it's largely going to be up to the X3, though the Galaxy Note-alike Vu does hold some promise even if the 4:3 screen won't be great for watching movies. Unless of course it has something as yet unheard of up its sleeves.
