One of the most anticipated smartphones this year has to be the HTC Endeavour (formerly known as the Edge) and now details of its internal specs have just gotten a little more official. Over at XDA developers a ROM has been posted which confirms a few of the crucial details and the "Endeavour" name. The handset was leaked back in November and was rumoured to be getting a name change earlier this year.
Aside from the name the files also indicate that the Endeavour is going to feature a 720p resolution screen, a Tegra chipset, 8mp rear-facing camera, front-facing 1.3mp camera and Ice Cream Sandwich as well as HTC Sense 4.0. Previously rumoured details about the hardware include a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 4.7" display. If the ROM is correct then the Endeavour could well be as impressive as it promises though it shouldn't be long before the exact details get confirmed.
The Endeavour isn't the only HTC device anticipated at the MWC and the dual-core Ville is also expected to be revealed, another phone which was seen posing for the cameras recently. In addition to this another flagship device known as the Supreme and a tablet called the Quattro should be on show which is expected to be quad-core. Following its unveiling at the event at the end of this month it's expected that the handset will be released in early Spring.
With the Samsung Galaxy SIII confirmed not to be at the show the Endeavour will have plenty of room to shine but no doubt it won't be the only quad-core smartphone there and the LG X3 is also getting ready to strut its feathers.
