There's been plenty of speculation not only about what the specs of the Samsung Galaxy SIII are going to be but when it will arrive as well, and now it looks like we may not have to wait so long after all. The news comes from the Samsung Forum 2012 in Beijing where Samsung's CEO for its China division, Kim Young-ha, says that Samsung is reconsidering moving the release of the handset from May to April.

"In order to increase sales of the Galaxy SIII as well as the Galaxy Note which is already very popular in China, the company is considering rescheduling the rollout of the Galaxy SIII from May to April" said Kim Young-ha at the forum.

It's the most definite indication yet about when the much anticipated device is going to arrive, aside from being available mid-year, and would make the recent rumour of a May 22 release date seem even more unlikely. The release date was pushed back initially so it could launch globally at the same time to avoid certain markets like the US having to wait several months before the device reached there, as it did last year.

Kim Young-ha may have spilled some of the beans on the when but the what is still up for speculation. The latest rumours claim that the Galaxy SIII is going to launch with a quad-core Exynos 4412 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 12mp camera. If true then it will also feature a 4.7" Super AMOLED HD Screen and be powered by a 2250mAh battery.

One roadblock for Samsung rescheduling its Galaxy SIII plans may be the carrier in the US and it would seem to defeat the point of delaying its launch in the first place if launched in select markets first. However the increasing amount of leaks regarding the handset recently are a good sign that an official announcement isn't far off.
