Cloudberry signs partner for managed small cells
Partners with Ubiquisys to launch 'small cell as a service' platform targeted at MVNOs and enterprises

There is rising interest in managed services for deploying and managing small cell networks, and providers like Virgin Media and Colt Europe have shown off early services, while many OEMs will include this in their outsourcing offerings. Cloudberry, another innovator in small cells as a service, is working with Ubiquisus on a new variant, targeted at cellcos or MVNOs with limited infrastructure assets.
Cloudberry's managed service hosts a small cell gateway in the cloud and remotely carries out all the logistics of rolling out Cro.
Ubiquisys' role is to supply small cells which are easy to instal, with no need for a radio engineer. The UK-based firm claims its cells are fully automatic and autonomously create a SON with no manual input or local controller.
"The telecom industry as we know it will be dead in two years," Tom Guldberg, CEO of Cloudberry, said in a statement. "Working with Ubiquisys intelligent cell technology, we're enabling every mobile operator to join the small cell revolution."
