HTC News
HTC kicked off life as a notebook computer maker in Taiwan in 1997, then swiftly saw that the market for cell phones looked more interesting, and started making smartphones in partnership with Microsoft and its Windows Mobile operating system. Since then it also opened a new front with the Android operating system from Google, and has not only copied all the touch features of an iPhone, but many say it has improved on it, with its HTC Sense interface introduced in 2009. HTC has dominated Android phones, making the G1 for T-Mobile USA, the first widely sold Android phone, a number of the Droid range for Verizon (Eris and Incredible), and in 2011 the HTC Desire became more popular in most countries than the original iPhone, and HTC sales revenues more than doubled on the back of this.
